All Things Considered With The Scorpions Klaus Meine On HPR

In the world today, job security often seems nonexistent, yet since 1970, singer Klaus Meine has been gainfully employed with the same firm, rock band The Scorpions. The German band has sold over 100 million albums; this year they’re celebrating their 50th anniversary with a new album, Return to Forever, and a world tour. While the road trip doesn’t yet include a Hawai'i date, HPR All Things Considered Honolulu Host Dave Lawrence spoke with him about the unusual longevity of his career with one of contemporary music’s biggest selling groups.

MORE SCORPS: Hear a 2007 conversation with Scorpions' guitarist Mattias Jabs and HPR's Dave Lawrence.

RETURN TO FOREVER: See the video for "We Built This House", their #1 new song from the album.

LIVE IN CONCERT: Just days ago, September 12, The Scorpions did a global webcast of their concert at the Barclays Center, New York. The whole thing is now online to enjoy!

Dave Lawrence is the local host of All Things Considered, Road Stories (formerly Off the Road) and Stargazer.
