Classical Pacific - March 21, 2018: Women Hold Up Half the Sky

Although I regularly include women composers in my programs,  today I'm playing only works by women composers. I'm still deciding from a large list, and have partially narrowed that list down to Amy Beach, Debbi Wiseman, Rachel Portman, Anne Dudley, Teresa Carreño, Lili Boulanger, Germaine Tailleferre, Cecile Chaminade, Hildegard van Bingen, Elizabeth Maconchey, Jacquet de la Guerre, Barbara Strozzi, Fanny Mendelssohn, Clara Wieck, Rebecca Clarke, Kaija Saariaho, and Meredith Monk.Obviouslym, I won't be able to play work by all of these women today, but there's always another day!
