Honolulu Board of Water Supply

Honolulu Board of Water Supply Issues

Crews are still repairing a 24-inch water main break on the Leeward Coast that sprang up last night. The week before, a 20-inch break near the University of Hawaii closed roads and schools and some neighborhoods were without water for a time. All signs of the need to replace old pipes. Ernie Lau, Chief Engineer at the Honolulu Board of Water Supply joins us to talk about the cost to upgrading the aging water system and other pressing water issues.
