En Route to Brazil, Hokulea Departs St. Helena

Hokulea navigator Kaleo Wong and Hokulea captain Bruce Blankenfeld sail the voyaging canoe toward St. Helena.

After a five-day stop on the island of St. Helena, the voyaging canoe H?k?le‘a is back on the water. The crew is continuing its journey across the Atlantic to Brazil. H?k?le‘a navigator Kaleo Wong checked in with HPR’s Molly Solomon as part of our ongoing coverage H?k?le‘a: Voyage of Aloha.

Hokulea plans to sight Ascension Island before reaching Natal, Brazil next month.
