This week on Hawaii Public Radio, we’re presenting a series we’re calling “Genetically Engineered: Beyond Emotion.”

“GMO” stands for Genetically Modified Organism. Twenty years ago, these did not exist in the commercial market. But what exactly does that term mean---and how common is their use in today’s world? HPR’s Bill Dorman has some answers.
