Helping Hand - November 11, 2016 complete interview with Homeward Bound 5k

This week on Helping Hand we’re learning about the Homeward Bound 5k 2016, a Thanksgiving morning 5k experience in Honolulu to benefit IHS, the Institute for Human Services, a local homeless services provider. The Aloha State has the worst homeless crisis in the nation. Join HPR ATC Host Dave Lawrence as he speaks with the event hosts, Punahou School students Mia Schiel and Claire Cutler.

Helping Hand is a weekly feature airing statewide on HPR1 stations as part of our afternoon drive broadcast of All Things Considered, and then appearing in our online Helping Hand directory of archived segments. Every week, Helping Hand puts the spotlight on an organization, topic or event that offers assistance to the disabled and others among the most vulnerable.
