Helping Hand - February 21, 2014 full interview with SPIN- Special Parent Information Network

Helping Hand is a weekly feature on HPR Friday afternoons at 5:30 on HPR1 stations statewide. Each week, All Things Considered local host Dave Lawrence puts the spotlight on an organization or event in the community that offers assistance to the disabled and other folks in need.  This week we’re learning about SPIN: Special Parent Information Network.

The Special Parent Information Network (SPIN) is – according to their website -- a parent to parent organization in Hawai`i that provides information, support and referral to parents of children and young adults with disabilities and the professionals who serve them. We are privileged today to hear about their valiant efforts on behalf of the disabled with our guest, Coordinator at SPIN, Susan Rocco.
