Hawai‘i’s capital city has debuted as one of the most vegan-friendly cities in the country. That’s according to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals—which ranked Honolulu as number seven of the top ten.
A recent surge in restaurants offering animal-free options and an increase in health food stores are credited with getting us onto the list. Some notable mentions went to the raw food restaurant Green and Vines, the all-vegan café Simple Joy, and Downbeat Diner.
