HPR Rocks Book & Music Sale

The seventh annual Friends of the Library of Hawai?i’s Book & Music Sale will be held on the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Weekend, January 16 – 18, in Washington Middle School’s cafeteria.

More than 10,000 records, 5,000 CDs, DVDs, books, comics, and more have been gathered for this fundraiser.

On the first day of the Sale, from 10am to 2pm, Nick Yee, aka DJ Mr. Nick, host of HPR’s Bridging the Gap, will be presenting a sampling of the music you can hear only HPR. From classical to jazz, Latin jazz to the eclectic sounds his Saturday evening program is known for, he'll segue from vinyl to digital and back again.

HPR will also have a booth at the Book & Music Sale on January 16. Drop by our table, share with our staff your favorite programs, and learn about others.

See hours for the entire Book & Music weekend.
