Courtesy of NASA, this is a radar image of Venus' Ovda highlands region. According to analysts, the bright areas would be highland plateaus, while it's the dark areas which researchers question as potentially having 'snow', which are the highest elevations featured. The data was obtained by NASA's Magellan probe, which orbited Venus from 1990 to 1994.

For this week's Stargazer, we’ve got a variety of planets to try and spot, plus we learn about the discovery of a kind of snow on a planet in our solar system as HPR's All Things Considered Local Host Dave Lawrencespeaks with Christopher Phillips from the Mauna Kea Astronomy Outreach Committee for this week’s Stargazer report.

Dave Lawrence is the local host of All Things Considered, Road Stories (formerly Off the Road) and Stargazer.
