Whew!

Updated: Monday Afternoon.

Flash flood warnings and high surf advisories have been canceled and emergency shelters on all islands have closed as Darby is downgraded to a Tropical Depression but it is still expected to bring 1 to 3 inches of additional rainfall over parts of the islands.

The Coast Guard has reopened all commercial Hawaiian ports and cargo operations have resumed.

City and state officials are busy dealing with a series of sewage spills across Oahu because of heavy rains from Tropical Depression Darby. The spills include more than 1,000 gallons near Ala Moana Center and 42,000 at the Kailua Wastewater Treatment Plant.  Brown-water advisories have been issued for coastal water off Oahu, the Big Island and Kauai from storm and flood runoff. Not all waters may be affected, but officials advise staying out of the water if it's brown.

On Oahu, H-1 has reopened, but flood cleanup continues at different locations.

Thunderstorms caused blackouts across Oahu, and Hawaiian Electric is working to restore power to a few remaining areas.  Hawai‘i Electric Light restored power to 900 customers on West Hawai‘i following the landfall of the storm.  Power is expected to be restored to all other customers without power today.
